Rock’n’roll returns with Picture Parlour announcing that their semi-self-titled debut album, ‘The Parlour’, is set to be released on 14th November. This album captures the richly evocative world that the duo—Katherine Parlour and Ella Risi—has developed. Influenced by Northern Soul culture, dive bars, and the grassroots scene from which they emerged, the album's eleven tracks create a unique conceptual space: “Throughout this process, we often found ourselves returning to a particular state of mind, which we came to call The Parlour,” the band explained regarding their vision. “It kept us grounded, kept us moving, and constantly reminded us of our identity and the essence of Picture Parlour. It’s enchanting to now share this refuge where people can connect with us and immerse themselves in our unusual world. Just like in our live performances, we aim to guide our listeners on a distinctive journey as authentically as possible. It’s not always neat or polished. Our goal has always been to evoke an intense and indescribable atmosphere, fostering that energy throughout the entire sonic and visual experience.” In addition to announcing their album—following their 2024 debut EP ‘Face In The Picture’—the band has released their new single, ‘Used To Be Your Girlfriend,’ a psych-rock adventure.
