They Are Gutting A Body of Water is set to release their new album ‘Lotto’ on October 17th.
The American band presents a fierce sound, characterized by cutting guitar music that erupts in waves of noise, making it hard to categorize them.
Having recently announced their comeback, the forthcoming album is expected to be a major topic of discussion this Autumn.
The new album by They Are Gutting A Body of Water is called ‘Lotto’, which will be available on October 17th.
The band will embark on a full UK tour in February, and their new single ‘rl stine’ is already available. Although the title might allude to the well-known author of Goosebumps and Point Horror, the lyrics focus more on personal experiences, amplifying the emotion around them.
“There is a guy who I see near my house every day,” reflects bandleader Doug Dulgarian. “I always buy him a pack of Newport hundreds, fully knowing he will trade it for crack. Sometimes I wonder if it’s the addict in me, enabling the addict in him, or if I just genuinely grasp his struggle. Maybe we’re not so different after all.”
