Howling Bells Release ‘Unbroken’ – Their First Track in Ten Years

      18 · 09 · 2025

Howling Bells have resurfaced after a ten-year hiatus with their new track ‘Unbroken’ – they have never conformed to trends, making their comeback feel genuinely timeless. Originating from Sydney, this London-based trio integrates ‘Unbroken’ into their discography as if it was always meant to be there.

Juanita Stein eloquently reflects on her journey, experiencing both the thrill of performing for crowds and the quiet fade away, now leading to a sudden resurgence. Her vocals, a vital element of the band's essence, are both seasoned and resolute. She expresses her aspirations and resilience, hope and pain — and you can sense every part of it alongside her.

Musically, ‘Unbroken’ unfolds as a captivating, slow-moving tempest. Joel Stein’s guitar work is dramatic and controlled, brimming with tension and liberation. Glenn Moule’s drumming, although erratic, is powerful, providing the backbone of the track.

Producer Ben Hillier adeptly captures the song's atmosphere — allowing it to breathe, float, and ultimately shine. There’s a closeness to the production that makes you feel as though you’re right there in the room with them.

The band will be performing a special full show at the Lock Tavern in Camden on 5th November, marking a significant return. Tickets for this unique event will be available for purchase at 10 AM on Tuesday, 23rd September. This is a group that has subtly carved out their legacy — and now, with this new single, they extend it with elegance.
