This announcement coincides with the unveiling of Minear’s upcoming album ‘BOXING DAY’, set to be released on October 17th. Addressing themes such as postpartum depression, motherhood, and self-identity, the record is expected to showcase some of Minear’s most impactful work to date, providing insight into her experiences as a therapist, parent, and musician.
Bringing in collaborators Dan Weeks and Dan Barracuda during the track’s development, ‘Bullshit’ highlights a fresh direction in Lauren Minear’s music, representing a significant milestone in her decade-long career.
Regarding the track, Lauren Minear expresses: “These are feelings that I didn’t feel comfortable sharing for many years, and it feels amazing to finally have them heard. I believe a lot of internal freedom comes from speaking your truth.”
