The popular fundraiser organized by The Wild Honey Pie made its return to Brooklyn in September 2025, featuring a performance by BENEE for a lively audience of music enthusiasts who also enjoy pizza.
What more could one desire than New York pizza, endless drinks, and excellent live music? Established in 2009, The Wild Honey Pie started as a music blog and has evolved into a creative agency, now known for hosting "pizza party" fundraisers. Since its inception in 2023, this concert series has successfully raised thousands of dollars for charity, attracting sponsors like Spindrift Soda, Grillo’s Pickles, and Voodoo Ranger IPAs.
“We get to travel across the country hosting parties with our favorite musicians and chefs while meeting amazing people,” said Eric Weiner, founder of Wild Honey Pie. “This opportunity is made possible because [fans] purchase tickets and get involved.” At these pizza gatherings, guests enjoy unlimited food and drinks while experiencing an intimate concert setting.
The proceeds from ticket sales for this particular event, after deducting platform fees and taxes, were contributed to Covenant House—a charity providing urgent and ongoing support to homeless youth and trafficking survivors in North and Central America. Weiner expressed his gratitude for raising over $4,000 while speaking to the audience at Paulie Gee’s restaurant in Brooklyn.
“And that’s all thanks to you,” he added. “How amazing is that? Thank you for taking a chance on a Wednesday night to partake in something a bit unusual and fun.”
The highlight of the evening was BENEE, who appeared in pigtails and stylish glasses. Just hours before, she had announced her upcoming sophomore album and took the makeshift stage for a personal performance. The artist shared that, although she enjoys elaborate live performances, she finds acoustic concerts to be “beautiful” in their own unique way. She even mentioned that she often cries when hearing her favorite artists perform acoustically.
Some attendees had traveled from Italy, giving them the opportunity to sing for BENEE in the cozy venue. The artist engaged with the audience, discussing some of her favorite original songs.
BENEE talked about her song “Cinnamon,” which reflects her challenging transition to Los Angeles and her shock at the healthcare system. She humorously noted that she almost felt the need to “abort the mission,” but ultimately persevered.
“And I’ll stay sweet like cinnamon,
I’ll stay asleep until 3 PM.
I’ll wake up on the floor,
Not asking much, to be adored.”
– “Cinnamon,” BENEE
As expected, her performance concluded with an acoustic version of her viral TikTok hit “Supalonely” featuring Gus Dapperton. She encouraged the audience to sing along, receiving enthusiastic applause from the packed crowd.
The Wild Honey Pie has more charity events planned for fall 2025, featuring performances by The Starting Line, Mallrat, and Hannah Jadagu. Additional information can be found on their website.
