Bad Bunny will headline the Super Bowl Half-Time show next year.
This highly sought-after spot is among the most-viewed events worldwide, with Kendrick Lamar set to take charge in 2025.
Next year, the Super Bowl will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, and Bad Bunny will perform during the Half-Time show.
The announcement was made by the NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation, following weeks of fan speculation, including discussions about potential performers like Adele or Miley Cyrus.
Ultimately, only one artist could be selected. “What I’m feeling transcends myself,” Bad Bunny expressed in a statement. “It’s for those who paved the way and ran countless yards so that I could step in and score a touchdown … this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Go and tell your grandmother that we will be the HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”
Jay-Z, founder of Roc Nation, remarked that Bad Bunny's contributions to Puerto Rico are incredibly inspiring. “We are privileged to have him on the world’s largest platform.”
Bad Bunny’s ‘DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’ was released earlier this year, solidifying his status as one of the top-streamed artists globally. With multiple nominations for the Latin Grammys – scheduled for November – he will also host Saturday Night Live on October 4th, marking his second appearance on the iconic show.
Clash examined Bad Bunny’s viral hit ‘DtMF’ and the significant nostalgia attached to it in an insightful column by Mimi The Music Blogger.
