The Cure will be the main act at the Isle of Wight Festival next summer.

The iconic goth band is making a return, having recently announced their first live performances for 2026. They are set to headline Rock En Seine in Paris and also perform at Nova Rock in Austria.

Now, The Cure has revealed their inaugural British show for 2026 – they will headline the Isle of Wight Festival.

This is a rare opportunity for UK festival-goers to see the beloved group, whose monumental 2024 album ‘Songs Of A Lost World’ led to a remix album and a live recording.

Additionally, Scottish artist Lewis Capaldi will also be headlining the festival, joined by fellow Scot Calvin Harris.

A wide range of other performers has been confirmed, including Tom Grennan, the Sex Pistols (Paul Cook, Steve Jones, Glen Matlock) featuring Frank Carter, The Last Dinner Party, Wet Leg, Teddy Swims, The Kooks, Jo Whiley, Rick Astley, David Gray, KT Tunstall, Shed Seven, Starsailor, Suzanne Vega, and Anastacia, with many more artists still to be announced.

Festival director Caroline Giddings commented: “This may be our strongest line-up to date. It’s my favorite so far, at least. We take pride in showcasing the future of music and contemporary stars alongside legends like The Cure and the Sex Pistols, who were pivotal in shaping pop culture.” She further stated: “The festival has continually been a reflection of the Isle of Wight’s rich cultural heritage. From Lewis Carroll and Tennyson to Julia Margaret Cameron, the island has inspired artists throughout history. We strive to honor that by presenting the very best music available, offering attendees an unforgettable festival experience.”
