A remarkable collection from the esteemed Bristol label...

Now in its tenth year, Timedance continues to evoke the feeling of the future. Few labels have been as influential in reshaping the essence of UK club music as Batu’s dynamic Bristol-based institution, and ‘TD10’ arrives not as a nostalgic celebration but as a declaration of what is yet to come.
Since its launch in 2015, Timedance has forged a sharp, radiant course through the aftermath of post-dubstep—melding bass weight, techno energy, and rhythmic ingenuity into an exhilaratingly indefinable sound. ‘TD10’ captures that same vitality across twenty-three tracks, featuring a formidable lineup of trailblazers and an exciting new generation of sonic innovators.
Regulars like Bruce and Ploy continue to push boundaries beyond the dancefloor. Batu reemerges with a typically incisive big-room anti-anthem—both precise and euphoric, yet deeply human. Pearson Sound and Bambounou join him in distorting peak-time intensity into unusual and thrilling forms.
Meanwhile, Timedance extends its reach. Daisy Moon, Marco Shuttle, and Verraco transform rhythm into abstraction, their deconstructions balancing between menace and trance. Re:ni and Lurka engage in tight, powerful half-step; Lechuga Zafiro, 33EMYBW, and Ayesha spark with rhythmic unpredictability. Minor Science and Skee Mask provide unexpected twists—warped, colorful, and just chaotic enough—while Polygonia, El Irreal Veintiuno, and BADSISTA explore a more emotional, melodic undertone amid the turbulence.
Emerging talents stand out against the noise with impressive clarity. Cleyra’s ‘Naked Echoes’ captivates the heart even before the bass drops, Rae’s ‘Sleep Rotation’ descends into a modular rapture, and Neinzer’s intense broken-beat track feels like being swept through a rhythm-driven wind tunnel. Each piece is an event in itself. Throughout its dizzying twists and turns, ‘TD10’ retains that unmistakable Timedance unity.
Timedance has consistently flourished in the spaces between—genres, tempos, and eras. A decade later, ‘TD10’ not only reaffirms the label's influence but projects it through countless new avenues. If this represents the evolution of a label, it does so with the elegance of a supernova.
