This winter, Paul Weller, Matt Berninger, and Bastille will perform at a special fundraiser for Streets Of London.
The charity is focused on assisting homeless individuals by providing necessary support and aid. Streets Of London has announced plans for a unique pre-Christmas fundraising event.
Scheduled for December 10th at the Royal Albert Hall, the event will feature performances by Paul Weller, Matt Berninger from The National, and UK pop icons Bastille.
Also performing will be Glen Hansard, a legend from Squeeze, and the emerging talent Nectar Woode.
Tickets will be available starting at 10am on October 24th. Streets of London is offering a prize draw to win a pair of tickets to the event, along with a signed CD and vinyl box set from charity ambassador Mark Knopfler. To participate in the prize draw, please visit the Crowdfunder website.
Regarding his performance, Matt Berninger stated, "I am proud to support Streets of London’s important work for the city's homeless community and am excited to perform at the iconic Royal Albert Hall."
Ian Steuart Fothringham, director of Streets of London, said: "We are incredibly thankful for the remarkable lineup of artists who have kindly agreed to perform at our Christmas fundraising show to assist those facing homelessness. The number of rough sleepers in London is currently at record highs, having increased by 10% in the last year, and is now five times higher than it was two decades ago. The funds raised from this event will directly and significantly help those living on the streets, financing several projects that provide life-changing support."
