Cigarettes After Sex have unveiled their rendition of The Doors' classic ‘The Crystal Ship’.

The American band has released a fresh double single, pairing an original track with a distinct, ethereal, and highly atmospheric cover.

The new song ‘Anna Karenina’ exudes a literary essence, blending somber, understated dream pop with semi-spoken word vocals by Greg Gonzalez.

Greg Gonzalez, the core member of Cigarettes After Sex, will join The Doors at LA’s Greek Theatre on October 30th, as part of the band’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

In addition, the group has reinterpreted The Doors' less trippy ‘The Crystal Ship’ through their own lens – it’s a radiant, deeply psychedelic cover, yet unmistakably non-retro.

Available now on Partisan Records, you can listen to both tracks below.
