Just lil has unveiled her latest single, ‘think about u,’ released through Boxset Recordings.
Continuing her run of moving warehouse anthems, the South London artist joins forces with Dot Major, turning her songwriting inward. This track weaves together the pieces of a tumultuous romance, with the duo experimenting with atmospheric pads and a slower tempo, creating a more intimate production that remains minimal and profoundly engaging.
Over the past year, just lil has been preparing for her upcoming project, establishing a close-knit group of collaborators who are influencers within the club scene. She has shared studio time with artists like Pearson Sound, Cameo Blush, Jasper Tygner, and Barry Can’t Swim. As a resident at foundation.fm, she explores electronic music that transcends the dance floor, infusing it with a stylish pop twist suitable for rave culture. Her journey began with learning to sing by emulating pitched-up garage and grime vocal samples, a skill that continues to influence her vocal delivery in her releases.
