Sleaford Mods have unveiled the Hallowe’en reshoot of their music video for 'The Good Life', which features Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie and British rock band Big Special.
Regarding her collaboration with Mods Andrew Fearn and Jason Williamson, Christie expressed:
“Sleaford Mods have been the soundtrack to many of my life's highs. They have been with me through the struggles and joys, providing a vital source of inspiration for creativity and a much-needed relief from life's toughest moments. I appreciate unconventional success.”
Ben Wheatley, who also directed the original, helmed this Hallowe’en-themed version. Filmed in one take, Christie delivers an operatic performance while laughing like a banshee, and the Mods perform with intensity under flashing blue lights. Big Special also makes an appearance in this dark edition, appearing even more frenzied than in the original. It’s truly haunting.
The band’s upcoming album, 'The Demise Of Planet X', is set for release on January 16th. This follows their acclaimed state-of-the-nation album, 'UK GRIM', released in 2023.
