London-based artist My Life As A Moth returns with ‘Hyenas’, the lead single from her upcoming sophomore album ‘The Parade of the Starlet & The Broken Hearted’, slated for early next year.
Originating from an improvised jam session, the evocative ‘Hyenas’ – structured around a flowing bass line – was later enhanced with production elements from Ellie Mason (Voka Gentle) and Keir Adamson.
Delving into the chaos that arises from broken connections, ‘Hyenas’ embodies the darkly-comic post-punk style of Fontaines D.C. while maintaining the delicate touch that characterizes My Life As A Moth’s alt-rock sound.
Regarding the track, My Life As A Moth shares:
“Hyenas is about navigating toxic relationships while finding moments of joy amidst those restrictions... it’s about accepting the situation and enduring it, though not yet fully submitting to the heavier consequences necessary to break free.”
‘Hyenas’ is available now on all streaming services, and the new album will be released in April 2026.
