My Bloody Valentine performed their first live show in seven years last night (November 19th).
The shoegaze icons are back and have scheduled several live performances. My Bloody Valentine is set to appear at Primavera Sound next year, along with upcoming concerts at OVO Wembley Arena in London, and more.
The journey begins in Dublin – although the band has been loosely based in London for many years, their Irish roots remain strong. They will perform at the National Stadium, which has been enlarged due to high demand for tickets.
The complete set list can be found online; while it doesn't feature anything exclusively new, the band did present ‘Off Your Face’ – from their ‘Glider’ EP – for its live debut.
The set list traverses various periods of the band's discography, showcasing many tracks from their groundbreaking albums like 'Isn’t Anything’ and the iconic ‘Loveless,’ in addition to some lesser-known gems. They concluded – as is customary – with a powerful rendition of ‘You Made Me Realise.’
Next week, My Bloody Valentine will perform in Manchester, London, and Glasgow before heading to Japan in February.
