Together For Palestine, a coalition of artists united to generate crucial funds for the people of Gaza amidst the ongoing genocide, has announced plans to release a Christmas single, ‘Lullaby’, on December 12th. This track reinterprets ‘Yamma Mweel El Hawa’, a traditional Palestinian lullaby, and follows Together For Palestine’s sold-out concert at Wembley, which raised over £2 million. The single will feature vocals from well-known artists such as Brian Eno, Celeste, Dan Smith from Bastille, Lana Lubany, Leigh-Anne, Nadine Shah, and others. Palestinian musician Nai Barghouti, who also contributes to the track, shared, “This lullaby from our Palestinian musical heritage has accompanied me since my early childhood. It returns now at a crucial moment as a reminder of what Palestinians will never lose: hope, defiance, beauty, and dignity.” To maximize awareness and donations for the struggles faced by Palestinian citizens, the team aims to achieve Christmas #1 in the UK Official Charts with ‘Lullaby’. All proceeds from the release will go to Choose Love’s Together For Palestine Fund, which supports three organizations led by Palestinians: Taawon, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, and Palestine Medical Relief Service. Fans can pre-order and pre-save ‘Lullaby’ now on platforms like BandCamp and iTunes, which also allow purchasing the song as a gift, ahead of its release on December 12th.
