From the deluxe edition of their fourth studio album, 'The Hart', which releases tomorrow.
Philadelphia band Grayscale is making a comeback with new visuals for their featured single ‘Painting Over You,’ featuring Cassadee Pope.
As they build excitement for their upcoming release, a deluxe edition of this year’s ’The Hart’, the Philadelphia group introduces a new aspect to their music catalogue. Filmed by Kyle Short, viewers are immersed in a raw collaborative performance from both artists, presenting a modern pop-rock anthem.
Formed by a close group of friends, Grayscale cherishes the strength of their collective artistry. Each member shares a unique, yet intrinsic connection to the creative process, influenced by bands like The Killers, Kings of Leon, Bruce Springsteen, and Van Halen.
‘The Hart (Deluxe)’ explores new ground for the band, inviting a diverse range of collaborators to reinterpret their tracklist. With contributions from artists such as Smallpools, Derek Sanders, and Slowly Slowly, the project places itself within a fresh context, blending ambient, electronica, and soft-rock elements throughout.
Discussing the album, lead vocalist Collin Walsh expresses: “Having our friends contribute to songs we deeply love for a record that means so much to us was incredible. We haven’t done many collaborations previously, so working with artists we admire and have toured with all compiled into one cohesive album was exhilarating, chaotic, and immensely enjoyable.”
He adds: “We’re grateful for all the talented individuals we’ve encountered on our journey, including those we’ve admired since childhood who added their unique touch to these songs.”
