Jamie xx has remixed Robyn’s track ‘Dopamine’.
This release, now available, marks Jamie xx's first remix in three years and features the English producer engaging with a major figure in contemporary pop music.
Robyn has kicked off a new chapter in her career with the release of ‘Dopamine’, her debut single under the Young label. Collaborating with long-time partner Klas Åhlund, the song is an exciting showcase of powerful pop abilities, influenced by the vibrant energy of the club scene.
In Jamie xx's interpretation, the track takes on a dynamic dancefloor essence, with the producer uncovering new dimensions of the original song. By infusing his own style, the remix feels almost like a joint effort.
He shares, "I had a great time creating this remix; the original track is fantastic, and it was a lot of fun to experiment with it. Thanks, Robyn! I can't wait to play it on dancefloors soon."
