Mareya Shows Her Boldest Side on the ‘Glitter Tears’ EP

      A cathartic EP from the alt-pop artist…

Mareya dazzles with her impactful new EP, ‘Glitter Tears.’

Now available, her bold songwriting sees Mareya channeling influences from her alt icons, with hints of Avril Lavigne and Paramore resonating in her dynamic pop sound.

This six-track collection allows Mareya to express unyielding honesty, brimming with rebellious feminine energy.

She pours her soul into each note, explaining: “I was revealing the illusion that it feels safer to hide behind the facade of beauty rather than exposing your internal struggles…”

The recording sessions took Mareya to new heights, with the standout track ‘Ugly’ highlighting the fragility in her voice. She reflects:

“Creating this EP was as cathartic as it was challenging. During the recording of the ballad ‘Ugly’, there were moments when I had to pause and take breaks because I would start crying. The last lyric of the song was captured from one of those instances. Some songs felt like a time capsule holding the emotional weight I was submerged in. That’s one of the reasons I named it ‘Glitter Tears’.”

“The final track on the EP represents the reclaiming of power and truth that follows.”

A thrilling journey, ‘Glitter Tears’ may very well be the highlight from this emerging alt-pop talent.
