Seafret is set to launch their new album ‘Fear Of Emotion’ later this year.
The Yorkshire alt-folk duo, Jack Sedman and Harry Draper, dedicated 2025 to personal and creative rejuvenation, crafting the songs that will feature on their forthcoming fourth album.
Scheduled for release on March 27th through Nettwerk, ‘Fear Of Emotion’ expands on their past achievements – ‘Atlantis’ has surpassed a billion streams – while guiding them into new territories.
“The tracks on ‘Fear Of Emotion’ emerged from everything we’ve experienced over the last few years – the bright, beautiful moments and the shadows that accompanied them,” the duo reflects. “We aimed for every song to feel sincere and grounded in reality, and we believe we’ve achieved that. Creating this record has been a pleasure from beginning to end. The collaborations brought an enchantment we couldn't have produced on our own.”
Currently available, the beautiful new track ‘Signal Fire’ embodies the essence of the album. With its gilded, folk-inspired artistry, it was crafted in the studio with long-time collaborators Steve Robson and Sam Miller.
A gently uplifting piece, ‘Signal Fire’ was “written to serve as a reminder that support is available and you never have to confront the darkness alone,” the band states. “The verses tell a story of a relationship, but we intended for the chorus to be more universal and resonate beyond that.”
