The Reds, Pinks & Purples are back with ‘New Leaf’.
This nostalgic new release marks the start of another year for the San Francisco-based project, which showcases the indie pop creativity of Glenn Donaldson.
A full album is reportedly on the horizon, and ‘New Leaf’ serves as a thoughtful, introspective introduction to 2026.
The humble lyricism is, in fact, quite candid, as The Reds, Pinks & Purples delve into some genuine melodic insights.
“Some people interpret the more humorous lines in my songs as irony,” Glenn Donaldson notes, “but honesty is actually funnier. These songs reflect me, even if the feelings may seem over the top. There’s enough abstraction in the imagery of this one for listeners to discover their own meanings.”
