The wait is finally over, everyone - Lady Gaga has officially announced that her seventh studio album will be titled ‘MAYHEM’ and is set to release on March 7 through Interscope Records. This news has been highly awaited by fans for several months, especially after Gaga swiftly followed her surprise ‘Harlequin’ project (a companion album to her 2024 film Joker: Folie à Deux) with ‘Disease’ – the first single from LG7 – in October of last year. Featuring 14 tracks, including her recent single (a collaboration with Bruno Mars) ‘Die With A Smile’, ‘MAYHEM’ aims to deliver exactly what its title suggests, returning to Gaga’s origins while also pushing the boundaries of contemporary pop music. “The album began with me confronting my anxiety about returning to the pop music that my earliest fans adored,” Gaga explained, describing the writing process as “reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t perfectly fit the pieces back together, you can create something beautiful and whole in a new way.” The third single from ‘MAYHEM’ - the title of which is still undisclosed - will premiere, along with its music video, on Sunday, February 2, during a commercial break at this year's GRAMMY Awards. So stay tuned - and if you can't wait that long, feel free to check out the darkly captivating ‘Disease’ video below!
