London alt-soul artist Greentea Peng has released a new song titled ‘Stones Throw’.
Available now, this single serves as another milestone leading up to her forthcoming LP, with the new album ‘Tell Dem It’s Sunny’ scheduled to be released on March 21st.
‘Stones Throw’ reflects on the recent past, with Greentea Peng contemplating the complexities of love. Known for her deeply personal songwriting, the track was crafted in collaboration with her long-time partner, Earbuds.
As Greentea Peng expresses it: “Melancholic thoughts on a transformed love...”
The full video for ‘Stones Throw’ is now out, filmed in Latvia and directed by her close visual collaborator, ABOVEGROUND.
The vocalist shares her thoughts:
Upon hearing the song, I had an instinct that we should shoot the video in Eastern Europe. It brought forth a nostalgic feeling, and after a meaningful discussion with Aria about the song's significance and the world we envision for it, everything fell into place. We filmed over two days, starting early, using film in the chilly Latvian rain. Lunch consisted of shashlik and wine for dinner, all while managing a detailed shot list throughout the day. Of all the videos we’ve collaborated on, I believe this one resonates with me the most. She fully immersed herself in her role; it transcended music.
