Rapper Doechii, who is currently in the spotlight, has marked her historic GRAMMYs victory by releasing ‘Nosebleeds’—a powerful new single crafted specifically for this moment. This release follows closely after last night’s GRAMMY Awards, where Doechii’s 2024 album ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal’ was awarded Best Rap Album by the Recording Academy. In ‘Nosebleeds,’ she expresses gratitude to her fans while boldly addressing any critics, even incorporating a snippet from Kanye’s famous GRAMMY acceptance speech from 2005 (“Everyone wanted to know what Doechii would do if she didn’t win / I guess we’ll never-”). This new track adds to Doechii's string of successes, which includes two more GRAMMY nominations (for Best Rap Performance and Best New Artist) and a widely praised NPR Tiny Desk Concert. ‘Nosebleeds’ truly highlights the significance of her GRAMMY win. As she poignantly stated in her acceptance speech: “This category was introduced in 1989, and two women have won. Lauryn Hill—three women have won. Lauryn Hill, Cardi B, and Doechii.” Be sure to revisit our Class of 2023 interview with Doechii and listen to ‘Nosebleeds’ below.
