Wake up later than usual, feeling a bit hungover or maybe not at all. Then it’s off to the studio with no specific agenda, simply following where inspiration leads. Some days, this involves perfecting a single synth sound for hours, while other times, a track comes together in just 10 minutes and clicks perfectly. Somewhere along the way, there’s likely to be an offbeat diversion—perhaps watching nostalgic meme videos or discussing UFOs and various conspiracies. The day would wrap up with a late-night session, refining tracks, layering vocals, and immersing in the creative process. If it's been a particularly successful day, it might culminate in a basement club experience, overwhelmed by powerful bass.
Your live performance, perhaps more than that of many bands, relies heavily on the synergy between audio and visual elements. Can you elaborate on how these two aspects of HONESTY influence each other? Do they develop together or independently? The visuals are integrated into the music in our live 3D AV setup. From the beginning, we intended HONESTY to be an immersive experience rather than just a typical 'gig.' We believe music should feel like entering a different world, and our visuals play a key role in creating that atmosphere. We collaborate closely with *UNCANNY on our music videos, which we then expand upon in our live performances. Everything is interrelated—similar to a feedback loop between sound and visuals.
If you could choose one album, one book, and one film to take to a deserted island, what would they be (and why)? Album: Any album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Just for the purpose of burning it. Book: The Red Book by Carl Jung. Because if you're going to be isolated on an island, you might as well dive deep into the subconscious. Film: Come and See. It’s visually intense, existentially frightening, yet wholly captivating. And if you're stuck on an island, you might as well have something to keep your perspective in check.
