Spitzer Space Telescope Validates New Exoplanet

Spitzer Space Telescope Validates New Exoplanet

A striking presence in the folk scene...

Spitzer Space Telescope is set to release a new EP this Spring.

This name represents the musical persona of professional oil painter Dan MacDonald, who has journeyed globally in search of diverse voices. Originally from St. John's, Michigan, he has participated in numerous creative communities before eventually moving to London.

As part of the collective surrounding the influential label Broadside Hacks, Spitzer Space Telescope reduces folk songwriting to its emotional essence.

Viewing traditional arranged songs from unique perspectives, the songwriter's second EP will be launched on March 28th.

Scheduled to perform at the Green Man Festival this summer, the songwriter has recently unveiled his poignant 'Midwest Tribute Song' as a teaser for the forthcoming EP.

The track explores themes of personal heritage through a powerful vocal expression and rhythmic foot stomping – pure music in its simplest form.

      Regarding the song, he states…

"Identity, nationalism, and heritage. All that remains to say about this song is, to borrow a line from the great Pecker Dunne, ‘[...] a man must feel affection for the town where he was born.’"

      Listen in now.
