An announcement is on its way...

LCD Soundsystem appears to be hinting at a new announcement for London.

The band has strong connections to the city, which welcomed them from the very beginning. Their latest album, ‘American Dream’, was released in 2017, but frontman James Murphy has stated that they are currently working on a new album.

After completing a residency at the Knockdown Center in New York in November and December 2024, the group seems eager to cross the Atlantic.

New light displays have popped up in Shoreditch, including locations on Curtain Road and outside Shoreditch High Street station.

These lights feature the DFA Records logo along with the phrase: “You are here (again)”.

What could this all signify? Could LCD Soundsystem be performing at a London festival? Is it a hint at a possible residency (maybe at the Shoreditch venue Village Underground)…?

We’ll find out when the official announcement is made.

      UPDATE:

It seems it's a live event at O2 Academy Brixton. The event in South London has just announced its arrival, though there are no details on dates or ticket information yet.
