Swedish punk band Viagra Boys have released another preview of their upcoming album, titled ‘Viagr Aboys’, in the form of the track ‘Uno II’. The song is named after frontman Sebastian Murphy’s devoted pet dog and explores a surreal inner dialogue of his greyhound, touching on some conspiracy-themed ideas. “He goes to this place, then wakes up in some strange room, and he’s missing his teeth,” Murphy shared, referencing Uno II’s recent dental troubles that inspired the track. Accompanying this new release is a disorienting music video where Sebastian portrays a star reporter for Shrimptech Enterprises (their new label) at what can only be described as the most bizarre and existential dog show ever. The video, directed by Murphy and André Jofré, was filmed guerrilla-style across Czechia, Finland, and Sweden. ‘Uno II’ will be featured on the band’s forthcoming fourth album, which follows their politically themed 2022 release ‘Cave World’, and is scheduled for release on April 25 through Shrimptech Enterprises. This also comes after last month’s lead single, ‘Man Made Of Meat’, which was accompanied by an equally unusual and ambitious video set in the art world. Watch the video for ‘Uno II’ below. Viagra Boys will also embark on a tour to support their new album, starting with performances at the Coachella festival before returning to Europe and the UK for a full headline tour.
