The Great Escape, Brighton's annual showcase festival for new music, has announced a slew of new acts set to perform at this year's event, including Mercury Prize winners English Teacher. This isn't the first time the Leeds-based quartet has participated in TGE, but they'll be making a return in May to headline the inaugural Billboard UK Live stage, celebrating the release of their impressive 2024 debut LP 'This Could Be Texas.' Additionally, up-and-coming bands like Welly, Nxdia, She’s In Parties, and Adult DVD are poised to perform across various stages in Brighton, alongside established favorites such as FEET, Home Counties, and Miso Extra, who will also showcase their music. These acts join an already impressive lineup for TGE 2025, which includes this year’s highlighted performers: Pete Doherty, Warmduscher, Trampolene, and Rizzle Kicks. The Great Escape 2025 is scheduled to take place from May 14th to 17th at multiple venues throughout Brighton. Tickets, including single day and two-day passes, are available on the festival's website, and you can find some highlights of this year's lineup below.
