Richard Hawley Celebrates ‘Coles Corner’ With Live Performances and Re-release

      His highly regarded album marks its 20th anniversary...

      Sheffield artist Richard Hawley is preparing to celebrate two decades of his acclaimed album ‘Coles Corner.’

      Released in 2005, this was Richard Hawley’s third studio album and his first with Mute Records. The album is a celebrated collection of songs that captures the universal in local experiences, featuring some of his most compelling and immersive work.

      It was recorded at Sheffield’s Yellow Arch Studios, co-produced with his long-time bassist Colin Elliot and Mike Timm. ‘Coles Corner’ remains a favorite among fans, and this year it reaches its 20th anniversary.

      A complete re-issue is set for July 4th, featuring a 2CD deluxe edition that will include b-sides and previously unreleased acoustic tracks. The new vinyl version will have a gatefold sleeve, with a half-speed master enhancing the album’s audio quality.

      Additionally, Richard Hawley is getting ready to take ‘Coles Corner’ on tour, confirming plans for a tour dedicated to the album. The performance will feature the album in its entirety by the songwriter and his band, accompanied by a string section.

      The tour kicks off with a show on July 5th at the Museum Gardens in York, continuing through September and October.
