A thrilling two-hour performance...
Nathy Peluso's GRASA Tour transcends mere music. It signifies a powerful statement of presence and a bold rejection of narrow definitions of femininity.
In a city rich with Latin culture, Peluso's Miami stop on the U.S. leg of her tour (March 5th) created the perfect atmosphere. The Fillmore buzzed with an audience of Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, and various Hispanic communities, all waving their flags and eager to dance and feel. As she performed on an ultimately sparse stage, one might have questioned how Peluso would maintain the room's energy with so few props. However, it quickly became apparent: Peluso IS the performance.
Completely vibrant and breathtaking, Peluso pours every ounce of her being into her nearly two-hour set. With spine-tingling vocals and bold choreography, her electrifying performance energized the audience. Couples twirled around in full salsa dance, claiming the space just as Peluso claimed hers.
What distinguishes Peluso from her contemporaries is her fluidity and ability to blend genres. GRASA's smooth transitions from salsa and bachata to rap and hip-hop exemplify a woman's versatility. Peluso embodies all facets of herself simultaneously, and it never feels overwhelming. If anything, it leaves you craving more.
Engaging directly with the crowd, even reaching into the front rows, it’s evident that Peluso connects with her audience. She recognizes her power while remaining humbled by their appreciation. Grateful and fully authentic, she is precisely where she belongs. Nathy Peluso is a superstar, and the GRASA Tour showcases her boundless talent.
