The singer from South Shields offers another enticing glimpse of her upcoming debut album.
JADE continues to shape one of the most intriguing trajectories in modern pop, unveiling ‘FUFN (Fuck For You Now)’.
This maximalist creation draws sonic inspiration from electro-pop of the late 2000s and early 2010s, infused with high-energy, rave-inspired synths and addictive hooks that highlight pop's infectious nature.
As part of a series of singles co-written with Raye and produced by Dave Hamelin, the song was previewed during a campaign with Fendi. In the lead-up to its release, JADE further hinted at the lovesick theme at the core of the track through eye-catching quotes, a TMZ-inspired article, and promotional posters.
In a recent conversation with Capital, JADE shared that ‘FUFN (F*ck You For Now)’ stemmed from a dream in which her boyfriend was unfaithful. “[…] That’s how it all started… Then Raye and I brainstormed on how to frame it around a major argument you have when you know it’s not the end, but you want to vent your frustrations in that moment. When I first played this song to him, he asked, ‘Is this about me?’ I clarified that it's about past relationships or anyone who deserves to hear what’s on my mind.”
‘FUFN (F*ck You For Now)’ follows a remarkable series of recent singles, including ‘Fantasy’ and ‘IT Girl’, gradually unveiling what is likely one of the most awaited pop albums of 2025. JADE’s debut solo single ‘Angel Of My Dreams’ has amassed over 50 million streams to date and debuted at No.7 on the UK Official Singles Chart, marking the third highest new entry for a British artist last year.
