This song reflects that moment when you realize you need to get out of bed and be productive, and though you want to, it feels incredibly difficult. It's a completely absurd feeling that I experience often. It might stem from depression or an existential crisis, but it seems like a sentiment many people relate to—a reluctance to pursue what’s beneficial for us.
Living in Colorado, where stunning walks and hikes are abundant, I envisioned a scenario for the song where I had plans to meet a friend for a morning walk (my friend Lucas, who appears in the music video), and I'm battling the desire to just cancel and retreat back to sleep, despite genuinely wanting to hang out and knowing we would have a good time.
