Next month, Confidence Man and The KLF will join forces for a unique exhibition in Soho.
Titled the Emergency Chill Clinic, this immersive experience sees Confidence Man collaborating with the enigmatic rave-pop pioneers.
This project merges two distinct cultural influences and was initiated when The KLF's Jimmy Cauty contacted the Australian party group.
According to the press release, the Emergency Chill Clinic (ECC) offers “a recovery experience for post-rave-goers in need of decompression.”
Blending elements of an art event with a traditional chill-out space, the experience is designed to evoke a hospital-like atmosphere, featuring film, sound, and sensory elements.
The highlight of the event is the Emergency Chill Clinic Film by Jimmy Cauty, which provides an ambient visual journey accompanied by a reimagined version of Confidence Man's ‘3AM (LA LA LA)’, also remixed by TowerBlock1.
“Jimmy mentioned that Bill [Drummond] and I would often ask ourselves, ‘What would The KLF do?’ and then proceed to do it,” says Planet. “He suggested we should apply that concept with Confidence Man.”
