Message To Bears has released his new single ‘Open Lungs’ through Lost Birds Records.
Set against a complex, atmospheric backdrop, the Bristol-based composer delves into the connection between mental health and physical well-being, crafting a compelling listening experience from beginning to end. The track features radiant piano chords and harmonized vocal embellishments, gradually building to a powerful crescendo, showcasing some of the artist’s most significant work to date.
Since his debut in 2007, Jerome Alexander has been broadening his repertoire within the electronic music realm and beyond. Utilizing various aliases, the British multi-instrumentalist seamlessly blends ambient, folk, and post-rock influences into a cohesive sound. Now, he embarks on a more conceptual project, creating a space of tranquility within his music.
Regarding his latest release, Message To Bears explains: “‘Open Lungs’ reflects the connection between breath and anxiety. I have always been fascinated by how my lungs impact my feelings. As the music builds, I wanted to mirror the idea of regaining the ability to breathe properly.”
