Wet Leg triumphantly returns with the announcement of their second album, titled 'moisturizer.'

The wait is finally over: Wet Leg are back! The band from the Isle of Wight, who shot to indie fame in 2022 with their self-titled debut album, has announced that their follow-up, titled ‘moisturizer’, will be released on July 11th. Originally a duo made up of Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, they have now evolved into a five-member band with the addition of Ellis Durand (bass), Henry Holmes (drums), and Joshua Mobaraki (guitar, synth). “It felt very natural for us to create the second album together,” Rhian stated regarding this new setup. “We concentrated on whether it would be fun to perform live.” After spending the time following the launch of ‘Wet Leg’ on extensive tours, the band paused their live performances in March 2024 to work on ‘moisturizer’, collaborating once again with renowned producer Dan Carey. The record is expected to be, as mentioned in a press release, “punchier, prettier, and more perverted where necessary.” The first single from this album, ‘catch these fists’, is a lively dance-punk track featuring Rhian's characteristic sprechgesang, where she opts for conflict instead of romance. You can revisit our cover story with Wet Leg from three years ago here, and view the official video for ‘catch these fists’ below. Furthermore, to celebrate this announcement, Wet Leg has detailed a UK tour in May 2025, performing in Birmingham, London, Edinburgh, Leeds, and Manchester, ahead of several festival performances this summer. Tickets for the newly announced five UK dates will go on sale at 10 am local time on Friday, April 11th; check out Wet Leg’s complete upcoming live schedule below.
