Renowned rock band The Hives have announced the release of their upcoming album, modestly titled ‘The Hives Forever Forever The Hives,’ which is set to launch on 29th August through Play It Again Sam. They have kicked off this new chapter in grand style with their latest single, ‘Enough Is Enough.’ This album follows 2023's ‘The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons’ and will be the band's seventh studio album, featuring production by longtime associate Pelle Gunnerfeldt (Viagra Boys, Yung Lean) and Mike D from Beastie Boys, along with contributions from Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age.
The news was officially unveiled during a live-streamed press conference in Mexico City, where The Hives stated: “This message serves to announce that International Rock Sensation The Hives, the finest live band on earth and still your newest favorite band, acclaimed worldwide for their incredible talent and bold approach to rock music, have once more, sooner than expected, produced a body of work unlike any before or likely to be heard again. This new album is brimming with energy, joy, anger, and life, prompting you to question everything you thought you knew. They've done it! Each song is a standout, every track an anthem, each hit a direct strike at the status quo.” Not much pressure there, right? You can listen to the powerful new single ‘Enough Is Enough’ below. Additionally, The Hives are set to embark on what they describe as a series of “state visits” across Europe and the UK this Autumn, culminating in a highly anticipated arena performance in their home country of Sweden. Tickets for the UK dates will go on sale at 10am BST on Friday, 11th April; see the full schedule of their live performances below.
