Ezra Furman has released her latest single, 'Power Of The Moon', from her upcoming tenth album 'Goodbye Small Head', set to be released on May 16 through Bella Union. The new album includes previously unveiled tracks 'Grand Mal' and 'Jump Out'. The psychedelic piece 'Power Of The Moon' showcases Furman's existential musings about higher powers. She describes the single by stating, “This spirituality of mine has, frustratingly, not reduced the existentialist nausea I’ve always experienced. I have faith in God, yet can't adequately explain it to anyone; I don’t fully grasp it myself. I possess no proof, no rationale, and no uncertainty.” She continues, “My God is illogical. That’s one thing I cherish about her. It confirms that she is far greater than anything we could ever conceive." “When logic falters, that’s when the nocturnal world captures you. That’s when the moon asserts its influence. One day you awaken to the realization that true understanding is elusive, and then you journey into the poetic, resonating under the power of the moon.” Furman also shared that it took her five years to finalize the new song. “I’m not claiming that length contributes to its quality, but it certainly signifies its significance to me,” she adds.
