Nia Archives has announced the establishment of her new record label, Up Ya Archives, along with the release of a new single titled ‘Get Loose’. This label will feature “everything new gen junglism”. The single, ‘Get Loose’, has been launched in collaboration with Bristol newcomer, Cheetah, and includes strong basslines as well as vocals from both artists. A press release states that Archives discovered Cheetah's music on Bandcamp, leading them to collaborate in the studio, united by their shared passion for free parties, which is reflected in the vibrant rave depicted in the new music video. “It’s essentially a tribute to the soundsystem and party culture,” Cheetah commented on the new single. “It captures that sensation of being completely immersed in the music, with your head buried in the rig and feeling the bass shake your ribs. It's pretty straightforward yet incredibly energetic, and the lyrics are essentially instructions,” he added. Additionally, alongside the launch of the label and single, Archives will host a residency on NTS radio, starting this Friday, April 25th, from 5-6pm every month. The inaugural episode will feature her and collaborator Cheetah discussing the new show and the label's concept. You can view the video for the new track here.
The new song is taken from his latest vinyl-exclusive Record Store Day EP titled ‘Me and the Dog’.
The announcement follows closely after he released the double-sided singles ‘all i need / in my mind’.
The upcoming concert will be held at the renowned Roundhouse venue in Camden.
The new track comes after her earlier songs, ‘Grand Mal’ and ‘Jump Out’.
The group's upcoming album is set to be released on June 20th through Polydor Records.
The new track includes Bristol newcomer Cheetah.
