Glasgow's band Humour is set to release their debut album ‘Learning Greek’ on August 8th.
They honed their craft with two outstanding EPs – ‘Pure Misery’ in 2022 and ‘A Small Crowd Gathered To Watch Me’ in 2023, and they recently returned with the new single ‘Neighbours’.
Taking their time with the next phase, Humour’s debut album ‘Learning Greek’ was recorded with Rod Jones of Idlewild at his studio in Edinburgh.
Set to be released on August 8th through the influential independent label So Young Records, the album is accompanied by the new single ‘Plagiarist’.
A genuine powerhouse, the sharp post-punk sounds are crafted into something immediate and intensely impactful.
Vocalist Andreas Christoloudis shared his thoughts on the song's themes:
‘Plagiarist’ explores the struggles of being a lyricist who has run out of inspiration. In the song, the protagonist feels pressure to match lyrics to the band’s music and realizes he can’t even borrow lines from his favorite books because he has already used them all. He fears being exposed as a fraud and facing severe consequences for it.
Tune in now.
