Fay Milton from Savages reveals a self-titled album from her new project called Goddess.

Fay Milton of Savages has revealed details about the debut album from her new project, Goddess. The self-titled album is set to be released on May 30th through Bella Union records and will feature the previously released track 'Shadows' as well as a brand new song titled 'Animal,' which is available today. In this new single, Milton expresses a candid embrace of desire: “I’m obsessed with the lyrics on this track — ‘Excuse my behaviour, I’m nothing but an animal’ — who wouldn’t relate to that at some point?” she noted. “It feels like a confident response to Nine Inch Nails’ ‘Closer’ but with a fresh perspective: it’s not about descending into chaos; it’s about embracing your instincts and harnessing your desires rather than being overwhelmed by them.” The inspiration to start her collaborative project Goddess emerged during a hiatus of the post-punk band Savages. Milton, the drummer for the group, felt motivated to pursue her own musical direction, gathering women and non-binary individuals from the London indie scene.
