Sarah Nimmo makes her solo debut with the new single ‘Underground’.

The London artist has been on our radar for some time, previously known as the frontwoman of the dynamic duo NIMMO.

In her new single ‘Underground,’ Sarah Nimmo steps out on her own, celebrating the queer communities that thrive in London. This track serves as a heartfelt tribute to the family she discovered within the city and comes on the heels of her solo live debut at a sold-out show at the Waiting Room in Stoke Newington a few months earlier.

Released now, the song is an exhilarating piece of digi-pop that highlights her bold vocals, drawing comparisons to icons like Annie Lennox as well as contemporary pioneers such as Rahhim Redcar.

The track specifically mentions The Glory, a key London nightclub that played an essential role in Sarah Nimmo’s journey, but unfortunately closed its doors in January 2024.

      She reflects...

The Glory was a crucial space for my evolution as an artist, a queer individual, and most importantly, as a person. It was a place beyond music where I formed lifelong friendships. One of those friends is Louis [Rembges], the director of this video, whom I met on my very first shift; it's come full circle. Creativity flowed through The Glory. I collaborated with actors, illustrators, fashion designers, musicians, and many others. It was a vibrant melting pot of opportunities that shaped me into who I am today.
