Following the confirmation of the release details for her third album ‘EURO-COUNTRY’ (set to launch on 29th August via AWAL), CMAT has now unveiled a second preview of the album with the new single ‘Take A Sexy Picture Of Me’. This track, which comes after March’s ‘Running/Planning’, is a searing examination of the unrealistic and damaging beauty standards propagated by society, all conveyed with CMAT's distinctive charm. Discussing the inspiration behind the song, the Irish country-pop star stated: “With the internet, every woman has become a public figure. Regardless of who you are or how you look, someone will be offended by your very existence, and there’s no way to escape that. ‘Take a Sexy Picture of Me’ emerged from that realization; I had held back for a long time, not out of frustration or sadness for myself—since I AM in the public eye—but I came to understand that this is the reality for every woman. It's a universal experience among women. This song is my response to anyone who has criticized my weight or appearance… and I believe it’s one of the finest songs I’ve ever created.” You can watch the video for ‘Take A Sexy Picture Of Me’ and revisit our 2023 cover feature with CMAT, focusing on her remarkable previous album ‘Crazymad, For Me.’ The (truly excellent) tracklist for ‘EURO-COUNTRY’ includes: 1.
