Jessica Winter has released her new single ‘Wannabe’.

The anticipated debut LP from the London artist, aptly titled ‘My First Album’, is set to arrive this summer, with Jessica Winter aiming for the release to showcase her creative depth.

Scheduled for release on July 11th, the album will be supported by a series of in-store appearances, and Jessica Winter will headline a special event at Shoreditch club XOYO on June 6th as part of SXSW London.

The new single ‘Wannabe’ is available now and blends 90s alternative influences with her 2025 outlook. This compellingly dark pop track draws inspiration from various sources, including the iconic Garbage album ‘Version 2.0’ as well as the films of Tim Burton.

Notably, the music video for ‘Wannabe’, directed by Roger Spy, features Jessica in a role reminiscent of Edward Scissorhands, with the climax mirroring the film’s conclusion but adding an unexpected twist.

      She shares…

“I wrote this song after a long stint of doom scrolling. I got tired of feeling inadequate and the constant comparisons. This song serves as a friendly reminder to stay in your own lane and to recognize that you are just as unique as everyone else.”
