      Man/Woman/Chainsaw - MadDog

Following the success of their 2024 EP 'Eazy Peazy', Man/Woman/Chainsaw are on a high. If their latest single 'MadDog' is any indication, this thrilling London band shows no signs of slowing down in 2025. Loud and dangerous, brimming with gritty riffs, this four-minute track captures the essence of unrestrained rock'n'roll, drawing inspiration from early 2000s garage and post-punk while maintaining a forward-looking perspective. An exhilarating anthem that truly validates the growing excitement surrounding the band. (Chris Connor)

Adore - Show Me Your Teeth

Irish trio Adore, newly signed to Big Scary Monsters, dive into new territory with 'Show Me Your Teeth' - a sharp, electrifying experience designed to rattle the walls. This track, stemming from five months of restless nights and tangled dreams, features Lara Minchin channeling built-up tension into a piece filled with grit and energy: energetic drums, sharp guitars, and a vocal performance that pierces through. Produced by Gilla Band’s Daniel Fox, it shifts between chaotic fervor and tightly controlled sections, never letting up. A formidable advancement from one of Ireland’s most thrilling new groups. (Lucy Ward)

The New Eves - Rivers Run Red

Our favorite eclectic South Coast group, The New Eves, have returned with their new single 'Rivers Run Red', also announcing their debut album's details. This track blends bard-like flute melodies with swirling cello, showcasing the enchanting vocals and vivid lyrics of New Eve Ella Russell as the band ushers in a militaristic groove that deepens in instrumental complexity. The song features layered harmonies over haunting spoken word and intense climaxes before launching back into its snare drum-driven section, culminating in a final declaration: “Rivers Run Red!“ (Mille Tempo)

Lucky Iris - day to night

Emerging from the Leeds DIY scene, the exciting duo Lucky Iris, made up of Maeve Florsheim and Jasper Hoxley, offer a taste of their surprise EP with the title track ‘day to night’ - a lively and eclectic entry into their fast-paced, energetic hyper-pop style. Fueled by massive synths, punchy beats, and sharp vocals, this marks their first release of 2025, showcasing influences from artists like Confidence Man and Charli xcx. It’s a must-listen, festival-ready track that promises to be the soundtrack of the Summer. (Kyle Roczniak)

      Tummyache - Stop, Drop, Roll

Soren Bryce’s project has remained true to its DIY roots, and Tummyache's latest offering is no different. The new single ‘Stop, Drop, Roll’ comes right after a crowdfunded US tour and captures much of the energy from those frantic live performances. Merging ambience with rawness, it plunges into a unique soundscape, embodying both a vulnerable confession and a critique of modern life. Angry, restless, and loud, this track may reflect a downward spiral, but it also delivers some impactful moments along the way. (Dylan McNally)

      Beattie - Life With Her

Quickly rising as a promising newcomer after making waves on the live circuit with performances at Live At Leeds and Latitude prior to her first single, Beattie reveals her debut EP ‘All My Innocence Has Been Ridden’. The lead single ‘Life With Her’ confirms why she has been gaining attention in recent months. The song evolves from intimate, vocal-led verses to a powerful, riff-heavy chorus, showcasing the London artist’s versatility. Following support gigs with Good Neighbours and Balancing Act, and upcoming performances at The Great Escape, Beattie is on an exciting path toward greater success. (Emily Savage)

AtticOmatic - Last Journey To Sea

With a heartfelt intricacy that's both expansive and subtle, like sunlight glinting on water, AtticOmatic’s ‘Last Journey to Sea’ envelops the listener in its delicate beauty until the final solar glimmer fades into the horizon. Weaving shimmering polyrhythmic guitars with skipping bass lines, the new release from the Brighton five-piece explores the dreamiest corners of indie-rock, lyrically acting as a “mantra” for songwriter Lorcan Forder, who navigates obsessive thoughts about death and suicide as someone living with ADHD.
