Rico Nasty does things her own way. This groundbreaking, genre-defying rapper is always evolving, with each project exploring new territory. A decade ago, a series of mixtapes shattered expectations of what she could accomplish, and her debut album ‘Nightmare Vacation’ solidified her fluid identity. The 2022 release ‘Las Ruinas’ marked another shift, but the new album ‘LETHAL’ may represent her final evolution.
As a technically adept rapper, Rico’s flows dash across a diverse sonic landscape that works equally well in both clubs and mosh pits. With raw, untamed sounds, ‘LETHAL’ hits hard from beginning to end, brimming with fierce, primal energy.

The standout tracks from the Maryland rapper come rapidly. ‘WHO WANT IT’ bursts forth from the speakers, while lead singles ‘BUTTERFLY KISSES’ and ‘CAN’T WIN ‘EM ALL’ stand unmatched. Firmly in her own lane, Rico Nasty approaches each song with intent—such as the determined ‘SON OF A GUN’ or the explicit allure of ‘EAT ME’.
‘SAY WE DID’ highlights her playful side, with electronics bubbling like a classic Mega Drive soundtrack. The final track ‘SMILE’ strips away the noise, showcasing beauty; the gentle guitars are complemented by a sweet vocal, as Rico’s tender singing conveys grace. Concluding on a softer note, she displays true courage and a significant level of self-acceptance.
