      Joy Crookes has released her new single ‘Carmen’.

      The UK singer is making significant strides, unveiling a series of impressive singles. ‘Pass The Salt’ featured a collaboration with West Coast artist Vince Staples, followed by ‘Mathematics’ with iconic UK MC Kano.

      The latest single ‘Carmen’ showcases her talents solo and radiates feminine energy. Its laid-back beat is reminiscent of Frank Ocean’s monumental ‘Super Rich Kids’, yet Joy adds her unique touch to those powerful influences.

      Lyrically, ‘Carmen’ addresses mental health and the importance of supportive female friendships, a theme that is also evident in the accompanying video.

      “It’s for the women I truly admire and care for who have been marginalized due to their appearance, their mental processes, or their experiences with mental health, and who have opinions that matter beyond just being there for men!”
