Capturing the vibrant, romantic spirit of a Sicilian summer, Havaianas and Dolce&Gabbana have launched their second collaboration.
Inspired by the Zori sandal, a classic Japanese footwear crafted from cloth and rice straps, Havaianas made its debut on the streets of Brazil in 1962, creating the original rubber ‘flip-flop’. Since then, the modern brand has positioned itself as not only a vacation essential but also a playful addition to urban living. The sandal’s presence at Jean Paul Gaultier’s runway show in 1999 highlighted Havaianas’ talent for seamlessly integrating casual comfort into more sophisticated realms.
After their initial collection, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana revisit their designs, introducing two distinct lines within the collection – the classics and the botanicals. The classics showcase the Italian brand’s iconic leopard and zebra prints, embellished with oversized faux fur straps, celebrating an extravagant 90s vibe. Meanwhile, the botanicals feature passionate floral hues and the leafy designs of Banano, adorned with textured macramé straps.
Enhancing their debut collection with a more accessorized look, Havaianas and Dolce&Gabbana present an essential addition to our wardrobes, exclusively available at FLANNELS.
