Rochelle Jordan Makes a Comeback with a Tribute to Classic House in ‘Crave’

Collaborating with house legend Terry Hunter, British-Canadian artist Rochelle Jordan marks the beginning of her new era with the release of her latest single, ‘Crave’, available through EMPIRE.

The track, produced with Chicago house icon Terry Hunter, combines Jordan’s emotive vocals and dynamic key shifts with a precise four-on-the-floor beat, resulting in an uplifting track reminiscent of Black Box and the celebrated ’90s-era dance remixes by David Morales for Mariah Carey and other RnB artists.

      Regarding the song, Rochelle explains:

“This single represents passion and love, the process of reconciling after disagreements, and how the connection with my partner persists strongly even after an argument… sometimes even intensified. The lyrics draw from the experiences of reconnecting and rediscovering common ground. That’s the reality of being in love; it can get messy or frustrating, but that doesn’t mean it can't also be 'fun'. So yes, this track is definitely for all the lovebirds. With Terry Hunter's unique influence, we naturally embraced a bright, musical, nostalgic house sound, which was incredibly enjoyable for me. He is an Icon, and I feel truly fortunate to have created such a magical record with him.”

‘Crave’ follows Jordan’s 2021 album ‘Play With the Changes’, an acclaimed exploration of Clubland – a spiritual journey echoing the uplifting energy of ‘90s gospel house, sound system culture, and rave scenes. Recently, Jordan has also collaborated with Kaytranada on the single, ‘Spit It Out’.
