Blondshell has unveiled her heartfelt rendition of Addison Rae’s ‘Diet Pepsi’.
Addison Rae has released one of the most analyzed pop albums of the year, reworking 00s elements from a new pop perspective. Lyrically, she is completely transparent, a quality that has drawn attention from both her fans and fellow musicians.
Clearly a supporter, Blondshell's own album – ‘If You Asked For A Picture’ – is also generating buzz.
The songwriter recently visited Sirius XMU for a live session, and as is customary, was invited to perform a cover. Naturally, she chose Addison Rae…
Her poignant, minimalistic version of ‘Diet Pepsi’ breathed new life into the track, creating spaces for Blondshell to authentically express herself.

“I’m a big fan of Addison’s music, and this is my favorite song of hers! It was on repeat for me when it first came out, so during the Sirius XMU session, it was a choice between this and ‘You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go’ by Bob Dylan. I’m glad we chose this one.”

Next month, Blondshell will head to the UK to support Fontaines D.C. at their significant Finsbury Park show in North London; she will return in September for her own headline tour across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
