Daphni has released his new single, ‘Sad Piano House.’

The producer, Dan Snaith, is known for various projects, with Caribou’s 2022 album ‘Cherry’ pushing his work in new directions.

Returning to the stage, the producer has delivered several DJ sets under his Daphni name, exploring elements of the fan-favorite track ‘Cloudy’ along the way.

This experience of creative exploration has culminated in Daphni’s new single ‘Sad Piano House,’ which follows ‘Unidos,’ his recent collaboration with Sofia Kourtesis from last month. It’s a fittingly named return to solo work that highlights the emotional facets of piano house.

      Daphni shares...

I performed a lot last year leading up to the Caribou album and naturally ended up creating a bunch of new music to feature in those sets. I crafted this track but wasn’t sure about it or when it would ever be released, so I sent it to Ben UFO, who began playing it, leading people to inquire about it. Now, I finally have the opportunity to complete it and release it. I had temporarily titled it ‘Sad Piano House’ when I sent it out because it’s piano house… but, you know, not the typical kind… I didn’t initially intend for that to be the final title, but once it showed up in a few radio show playlists and people started inquiring, the name stuck.

      Tune in now.

Dan Snaith is gearing up for a packed year – catch him performing a seven-hour set at FOLD in London on November 22nd. Before that, Daphni will headline the Glade Dome at this year’s Glastonbury, while Caribou will headline the Park Stage at Glastonbury and the End of the Road Festival.
